Planning and coordinating an event requires a little bit of creativity and inspiration (the spark) with a little bit of knowledge and wisdom (the sage) to pull off a successful event day. 

It's easy to find event managers that focus solely on the details and who forget that it's about the big picture. You and your guests' experiences are the central focus of everything I do. My passion, attention to detail, and time management skills allow me to make sure your wedding celebrates your story, showcases your unique voice and vision, and creates memories that will last a lifetime.

I'M AMANDA CRABTREE.

I was actually working in a real estate office when I encountered event planning & coordination unintentionally, and fell in love with it immediately. If you talk to me in person about events, you'll see my passion. It's so rewarding to craft an experience that becomes a memory to cherish for everyone involved. I love the challenge, I love the fun, and I love the magic of events. 

For the past 6+ years, I've worked as a full-time event planner, starting off in military family events, community events, weddings, as a venue coordinator and event a brief stint for a catering company. My variety of experience allows me to see the bigger picture of how each element needs to fit together to make sure the big day runs smoothly. 

  • I met my husband, Ben, in high school. We've been together for 12 years, and married for 8!

  • Within the span of a year, traveled to the Bahamas, Spain, Morocco, Namibia, South Africa, Mauritius, India, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, Guatemala, Panama, Jordan, and Israel. Been to 19 countries total, and planning more!

  • Lived and worked in Israel at a retreat center in the Galilee.

  • Went to school for Graphic Design (haha, life had other plans!) so I love working with typography, colors and patterns.

With a lot of choices "out there" for a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure your choice is well worth the investment.  When considering a coordinator, make sure you consider more than just the package pricing because value isn't always tied directly to cost.     • I'm married myself (don't laugh - this is a legit point!). I actually know what it's like to be a bride, and want to help you create a wedding that focuses on your love and the commitment (not just the celebration). 

  • I have had formal and professional training (and continue to learn!)

    • I am working on my wedding planner certification through the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC)​

    • I commit to attending seminars and conferences as much as I can to improve my services & stay current with trends.

  • I'm licensed and insured, and have a legal contract​

    • I've taken the time and effort to protect both you, the client, in additoin to my business. I have a San Diego business license, a $1,000,000/$2,000,000 liability insurance policy, and a legal contract (this matters a lot!) so that you know what to expect in working with me.

  • My vision to is provide affordable services with realistic, professional help where it's needed​

    • I care more about giving you realistic advice than creating a "dream event" that forces you into debt. I offer specialized services which are focused to provide the most benefit from professional help.  I will always be upfront and honest with you so that you can make the decisions that are right for you.
