We are always on the lookout for professional, hardworking event pros (or pros-in-training) to join our team.

About the Role

All positions are contract, on-call, and very part-time. Weddings are usually on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and team members are able to sign up for the events that they are available and are willing to work.  Applicants must have high-end customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, catering, or events. Applicants must reside in San Diego County, and have reliable transportation. This is a great job if you have something flexible going on during the week and are looking for a fun way to make extra money or are looking for more industry experience!

Tasks include, but are certainly not limited to:

  • Behind-the-scenes work setting up the wedding

  • Logistical tasks for ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner formalities

  • Greeting and interacting with guests, vendors, and venue staff

  • Setting up, and styling of items such as programs, escort cards, decor, linens, place settings, welcome tables, the guest book, etc.

  • General problem solving of common event scenarios

Compensation:

  • $25+ per hour (depending on event location), contract position, paid via app

Who We're Looking For

The perfect team member will be detail-oriented, professional, and provide excellent customer service when interacting with different personalities. The ability to take direction well and think quickly on your feet is an absolute must, as well as having a positive attitude at all times, especially under stressful situations. Experience in customer service is required. Experience in the hospitality industry preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires moderate physical activity - the assistant must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and remain on your feet for the majority of your shift (usually 6 -8 hours). 

​

Attire:

  • Professional clothing; formality will depend on wedding dress  code and venue

  • No bra straps, cleavage, midriff, or underwear showing

  • Closed-toe, non-heeled shoes are required at all times

 

Additional Expectations:

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • No fraternizing with guests

  • No drinking alcohol while working or before arriving
